Case Study

Brand Strategy, Creative Direction, Logo Design

Empowering Female Filmmakers

Women make up 51% of the population, yet 95% of all of the films you have ever seen were directed and produced by men. The 51 Fund is dedicated to financing feature films written, directed, and produced by women and was in need of a strong identity to balance the creativity of filmmaking with the gravitas of a private equity fund.

“We are all still floating from our amazing session with your amazing team! We can't wait to see what you come up with!” - Naomi McDougall Jones

Through a series of brand workshops, we’ve helped the team identify what sets the 51 Fund apart, crystalize its mission, and align on core values that are at the cornerstone of what they do.

The branding needed to communicate the seriousness of a private equity fund, while representing a hopeful, egalitarian philosophy of their approach, and have a professional, yet distinctly feminine look.

With the new logo in place, core branding elements were created from website to pitch presentations, with a logo animation to apply to their features.
