Sharing the Gift of Wine Country

Wine Country Gift Baskets is a 32-year-old catalog retailer of gourmet gift baskets that was in dire need of a brand refresh. For years they prided themselves on operational efficiencies and offering the best value, but that strategy was falling short with a savvier millennial consumer. The core of what the brand stood for needed a rethink.

Multiple aspects of the brand and business were rethought, including the overall branding, brand story, and how it was delivered through content, product packaging, website experience and communications. We also got the leadership to experiment with new product lines targeting a younger demographic and specialized groups.

We worked with the WCGB leadership team to evaluate the brand and business holistically and help them unpack what “value” meant for them.

Tapping into the insight that the best gift is a lasting memory, we built the brand story around the Wine Country state of mind, where the wine and fruit are fresh off the vine, the scenery is lush and serene, and everyone is laid back and enjoying the bliss of the moment. Every day feels like one worth celebrating, a state of mind that can be tied with a bow and delivered to your door.

Website UX was redesigned from the ground up to provide clarity of navigation, ease of checkout, as well as an engaging design that spoke to the gift giver.
